โฆ Synopsis
The temporal behaviour of biexcitons in (\mathrm{ZnCdSe}-\mathrm{ZnSSe}) multiple quantum wells has been studied by means of time-resolved luminescence spectroscopy. It is shown that the biexciton luminescence decays double-exponentially under high-density excitation. This can be explained by considering that the decay-time constant of the faster-decay component in the double-exponential decay corresponds to the radiative lifetime of biexcitons, and that the slower-decay component reflects a recurring process between excitons and biexcitons.
