The pressure dependence of the reaction rate for the HCI-catalyzed photoreduction of 2,4,&trinitrobenzoic acid has been investigated by the time-resolved ESR technique. From kinetic analysis of the CIDEP spectrum and the pressure effects observed on it, possible mechanisms of the reaction are proposed.
