Abstract

The radiated susceptibility of a shielded cable inside a penetrable shielded enclosure is analysed by a numerical procedure based on the finite‐difference time‐domain (FDTD) method. Impedance network boundary conditions (INBCs) are used to model the field penetration through the shield. The induced effects of the field‐excited shielded cable are analysed by using a hybrid technique based on the FDTD method and on the multiconductor transmission line (MTL) model.
