✦ Synopsis
An electric field integral equation is presented for the time-domain modeling of two-dimensional conducting cylinders. The incident field is considered to be TM. In addition, we present an implicit solution technique instead of the direct marching-on-in-time solution.
The result is that the solution procedure is quite stable, and the sampling in space and time need not satisfy the Courant stability condition. Typical numerical results are presented to illustrate the accuracy of this technique.
