β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
ClearβCell Sarcoma (CCS) is a rare malignant soft tissue tumor of young adults that often metastasizes to the lymph nodes. The fine needle aspirate cytology (FNAC) findings of CCS have been described previously and it is included in the cytological category of polygonal soft tissue tumors. We describe the cytology of a case of CCS, with emphasis on the so called βtigroid background.β Though this tigroid background is a nonspecific feature and has been described in various other tumors, to the best of our knowledge, it has not been described in CCS. This feature may be useful in the recognition of CCS. Diagn. Cytopathol. 2006;34:355β357. Β© 2006 WileyβLiss, Inc.

## Abstract The largest series, to date, of fineβneedle aspiration cytology (FNAC) findings in clearβcell sarcoma of the kidney (CCSK) is presented. All fineβneedle aspirates of pediatric renal masses over a 17βyr period were reviewed. Eight out of 119 aspirates from lateβstage childhood renal tumo
Alveolar softpart sarcoma (ASPS) is a rare soft-tissue tumor. Few cases have been reported in the aspiration cytology literature. We discuss the fine-needle aspiration (FNA) cytologic features of ASPS in four patients. The smears were characterized by single cells and clusters of cells associated wi
