✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A platinum‐free H~2~/O~2~ recombination catalyst, Ti~0.99~Pd~0.01~O~2−δ~, is synthesized by a solution combustion method where Pd^2+^ ions adsorb protonic H~2~^δ+^ ion and oxygen on the oxide ion vacancy sites (see picture). The rate of H~2~+O~2~ recombination at 50 °C is 15 μmoles g^−1^ s^−1^, which is much higher than that of Pt‐containing catalysts.magnified image
