✦ Synopsis

We describe a case of coronary stenting in which accidental detachment of the Palmaz-Schatr stent induced thrombotic occlusion of the coronary artery. This case suggests that careful consideration of the risk involving coronary occlusion is mandatory on d e ciding the therapeutic strategy of the cases in which the unexpanded coronary stent cannot be retrieved followlng unsuccessful deployment.
