Intense energy absorption at 2.44 eV is observed in the threshold electron excitation spectrum orazulene vapor. Direct excitation of triplet states or an electron-molecule resonance may account for this striking feature.

The thresho!d electron impact spectrum of CO is obtained using the sulphur hesafluoride electron scavenging trchniaue. Structure at 10 eV is correlated with the resonance recently observed in electron transmission and scattering studies of CO.
