โฆ Synopsis
Editorial Three Years Old and Growing Fast
Applied Cognitive Psychology is now firmly established as a journal for those interested in the psychological analysis of real world problems within the area of cognition. We are now well into our second century of articles submitted during the journal's first two years and are pleased by their quality and diversity. As a mark of the journal's success, ACP will move to six issues yearly from 1990 with the prospect of further expansion if subscription and submission growth justify it. This is a useful time to acknowledge the assistance of those who worked behind the scenes to ensure its successful launch. Our secretaries, Ann Stapleton in London and Sheila Vincent in Clinton, have dealt cheerfully and promptly with a large correspondence. Now Doug Herrmann has moved to Maryland (US manuscript submitters, please note!), Sheila will be relinquishing her connection with the journal and we wish her well. Rhona Flin did a stirling job in launching the book review section which has now been taken over by her two successors. In London, Helen Westcott has been appointed Editorial Assistant to Graham Davies to help deal with the greatly increased volume of manuscripts. One or two old faces have disappeared from the Editorial Board masthead to be replaced by Professor Berndt Brehmer and Professor Cesare Cornoldi. To these and all the others who have helped to get ACP up and running we say 'thank you'.
