✦ Synopsis
As the first postdoctoral fellow in the 10-year project jointly started by W üthrich and Ernst, I came to Z ürich at the end of 1976. The half-year-long struggle to develop softwares was repaid by the first report on 2D protein NMR with J-spectroscopy. My remaining two years in Z ürich were spent developing applications of correlated spectroscopy to proteins and related Fourier theorems. With the FT spirit inspired by these three years in Z ürich, I came to Okazaki in the late 90s. The notion of FT-spectroscopy might be successfully transferred to electron microscopy as novel schemes to observe complex valued wave functions. Copyright
