## Abstract It has recently been reported that tumor necrosis factor (TNF)‐related apoptosis inducing ligand (TRAIL) plays various roles in such autoimmune diseases as diabetes, multiple sclerosis (MS), and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). However, it has still remained unclear whether there is
