✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Ab initio molecular orbital calculations are reported for H~2~S, its radical cation, and the H~2~SSH radical cation. At the MP2/4‐31G level the SS three‐electron bond is 2.85 Å long, and has a dissociation energy of 31.2 kcal mole^−1^. The performance of MNDO semiempirical molecular orbital theory is compared with the ab initio results.

## Abstract The radical cations H~3~PPH, H~3~PSH, H~3~PClH^+·^, and HClClH^+·^ have been studied by __ab initio__ molecular‐orbital theory. An increasing tendency to adopt trigonal bipyramidal (TBP) gemoetries is observed for the phosphorus radicals with sulfur and chlorine ligands. The three‐elect

## Abstract Cation‐radicals and dications corresponding to hydrogen atom adducts to N‐terminus‐protonated N~α~‐glycylphenylalanine amide (Gly‐Phe‐NH~2~) are studied by combined density functional theory and Møller‐Plesset perturbational computations (B3‐MP2) as models for electron‐capture dissociat
