✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A two‐dimensional (2D) time‐domain inverse scattering technique for reconstructing lossy media is extended to three‐dimensional (3D) cases. Forward and inversion algorithms of this approach are carried out by the finite‐difference time‐domain (FDTD) method. The reconstruction of a mine buried in soil illustrates that this method is one of useful techniques to detect buried mines. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
