An analysis is presented of the torsional excitation of a rigid disc in bonded contact with the interior of an elastic half-space. With the aid of Hankel transforms, an exact formulation for the mixed boundary value problem is obtained as a pair of dual integral equations. After reduction of the dua

β¦ Synopsis
In this note, integral equations for the problem of an internal plane crack of arbitrary shape in a three-dimensional elastic half-space are derived. The crack plane is assumed to be parallel to the free surface. Use is made of Mindlin's point force solution in the interior of a semi-infinite solid in deriving the integral equations for the problem.
