โฆ Synopsis
On the amalgamation of Liverpool's two geological societies in October 1910, T. A. Jones was elected a member of the Council of the combined Society, and remained on it until his life ended in 1952. Always glad to be of service, he acted as Secretary of the Society from 1913 to 1915, when he moved up to the Presidential Chair for the period 19L'5--27, only to accept afterwards the responsibilities of Treasurer from 1928 to 1948. During these periods there occurred two world wars, which brought to the officers of our Society great anxieties and difficulties. In recognition of his successful official labours and the merit of his geological work, the Council conferred on him in 1030 the Society's Medal. ;in honour he accepted with unfeigned plcasure.
