The organizing committee, under the chairmanship of P. Gallezot (IRC, Villeurbanne) offered an interesting and stimulating scientific program and centred on the "Selective Reactions on advanced Catalytic Materials" which led to a mostly intensive and substantial discussion. The topics of the meeting were arranged in four main themes which met the current interest in fundamental and applied catalysis. These are summarised below.
