โœฆ Synopsis

A series of thiono triester containing oligonucleotide phosphorothioates linked with a lipophilic group have been successfully synthesized. Some of these modified antisense oligonucleotides show potent anti-HCMV activity as well as improved cellular association and nuclease resistance.

## Abstract We have targeted the urokinaseโ€type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) with phosphorothioate antisense oligonucleotides (aODN) __in vitro__ to evaluate the antiโ€invasive and antiโ€proliferative effects of uPAR downโ€regulation, as well as __in vivo__ to evaluate antiโ€tumor and antiโ€met
