β¦ Synopsis
In the present work, binary mixtures of 1-propyronitrile-3-hexylimidazolium bromide + methanol were prepared with different compositions and their density and refractive indices were measured at a temperature range (293.15 to 323.15) K and at atmospheric pressure. Thermal expansion coefficients were estimated using the measured density values. Excess molar volumes V E were calculated using the present experimental data and correlated using the Redlich Kister polynomial equation.

The kinematic viscosity Ξ½ for (ethane-1,2-diol + 1,2-dimethoxyethane + water) was measured at 14 different ternary compositions covering the whole miscibility field, and at 19 temperatures in the range 263.15 T / K 353.15. The experimental values were fitted using empirical equations of the type Ξ½
Isopiestic measurements have been carried out for the quaternary system (water + methanol + sodium bromide + ammonium bromide) with the mass ratios of water : methanol = 9 : 1 and 4 : 1 at the temperature 298.15 K. The results fit the ideal-like solution model within experimental errors.
