The hydrolytic depolymerization of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) with alkaline hydroxides was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The reactions of the mixtures were conducted in their solid states under nitrogen atmosphere. The experimenta
