Abstract

The influence of phonon drag effects on thermoelectric and thermomagnetic properties of nโ€Ge is investigated. The role of different scattering mechanisms is discussed. From a comparison of the experimental data [11, 13] with the theory follows that the theoretical values of the thermoelectric and thermomagnetic coefficients agree better with experimental ones assuming that the phonon relaxation times depend on the wave vector and temperature as it was predicted by Simons [2].

Whereas flux line diffusion in the mixed state of HTSC's driven by the Lorentz f0rยข~ has been studied extensively, the therma.l diffusion phenomena have received much less attention. In the mixed state, thermal diffusion of the quasipartieles and of the flux lines result in the Seebeek effect and th
