✦ Synopsis

After a general introduction into the thermodynamics of dyeing, the sorption problem of dispersed dyes by hydrophobic fibers is treated by use of relations developed on the basis of different absorption models. The effects of additives (salts, organic solvents and dispersing agents) are discussed.
