The extension of 0 n s a g e r's theory of reciprocal relations between irreversible processes, developed by D e G r o o t and M a z u r, is applied to heat conduction, diffusion and cross-effects and to viscosity in anisotropic mixtures of charged components in an electromagnetic field. Reciprocal relations are derived for these phenomena.
