✦ Synopsis

Abstract

This work reports the development of a physico‐chemical model for ligand‐receptor interactions. It considers receptors having groups of different binding sites in equilibrium and far from equilibrium where each of these may have multiple occupancies. The obtained results under appropriate simplifications give the well known Scatchard, Hill and Adair relations and provide a very interesting tool for studying receptor‐ligand phenomena and for determining the related parameters and interaction energies.

## Abstract We study the interaction between two parallel surfaces having a polymer‐tethered ligand on one and a random distribution of receptors on the other. We examine the interplay between the specific ligand–receptor binding and the conformation degrees of freedom of the polymer tether, and ad

## Abstract We have constructed hybrid proteins in which the toxic A chains of ricin or diptheria toxin have been linked to either asialofetuin, fetuin, or epidermal growth factor (EGF). Both ASF‐RTA and ASF‐DTA are potent toxins on cultured rat hepatocytes, cells that display the asialoglycoprotei
