โœฆ Synopsis


A new method is proposed to calculate the thermodynamic functions of a coupled sine-lattice chain, which is a simplified model of DNA (rotator model). The method, based on n-site expansion introduced there, is to express these functions as a series expansion in terms of the modified Bessel function of an integer order. A general procedure for calculating each term associated with series expansion of the partition function is discussed.
