โฆ Synopsis
We study thermodynamic properties of a high-Tc superconductor described by the hole-pairing model. Our earlier formulation is generalized by including effects ofintersite Coulomb repulsion between holes and an expression for the gap function is derived. The temperature dependence of the gap function, J (e, T), the free energies Fs (T) and Fn (T), and the thermodynamic critical field Hc (T) have been studied. These results as predicted by the model are compared with available experimental results.
