Abstract
The effects of impurity concentration and hydrostatic pressure on the behaviour of the physical properties of crystals are considered in the vicinity of the phase transition point. First order as well as second order phase transitions are studied. A number of useful correlations between the physical characteristics of a crystal is obtained.
