✦ Synopsis

The influence of temperature on the spectral moments M , M and effective half-width (2M ) of the absorption bands

of the stretching vibrations of amino groups of ortho-, metaand para-anisidines as well as their 1:1 complexes with dimethylformamide, dimethylsulfoxide and hexamethylphosphoramide in CCl has been studied in the temperature range 285-4 330 K. The coefficients of linear YsaTqb regression of the spectral moments with temperature were determined. Enthalpy of the 1:1 complex formation (yDH ) between anisidines with various proton acceptors in CCl solutions was determined using the 1 4

dependence of the equilibrium constants on temperature. Enthalpy of the 1:2 complex formation (yDH ) was estimated on the 2 basis on the 'rule of intensity': yDHsaDB assuming that the a parameter does not depend on the composition of a complex.

1y2

It was shown that yDH is larger than yDH recalculated for a single bond.
