A theoretical analysis is presented for the membrane and bendilag stresses around an arbitrarily oriented crack in a long, thin, circular cylindrical shell subjected to uniform axial tension, internal pressure and torsional Ioadings. The method of analysis involves perturbation in a curvature parame
