This paper elaborates on a previous article in which it was shown that a liquid phase of the adsorbed species can be developed in and passed through an adiabatic adsorption bed during thermal regeneration with a hot purge gas. Two systems were considered: activated carbon, benzene, nitrogen and 1 A molecular sieve, water, methane.
