In the present study, heat transfer coefficients of oscillatory flow at inner surfaces of the heating and cooling regions of oscillation-controlled heat-transport tubes (OCHTs) are investigated numerically. The numerical simulation is conducted under the following three conditions for the tube walls

โฆ Synopsis
This paper considers two aspects of the design of the cooling stage of the process known as cryogenic recycling. This process uses liquid nitrogen to embrittle certain materials before grinding and subsequent separation. It is being increasingly used in materials recycling.
A simple method of establishing thermal diffusivity values of materials of interest by using cooling curves is described. These values are important for effective cooler design. In addition values of convective heat transfer coefficient have been determined in an operating inclined, rotating cylindrical cooler operating on scrap car tyres. These will also be useful for cooler design methods.
