Measurements of the magnetoresistance of an Au-Mn (0. 9 at %) based low-temperature resistance thermometer were made at 4.2 K in a magnetic field up to 13.5 T and 2.8 K and 1.8 K in fields up to 4.2 T. The change in the scattering cross-section of the electrons by the manganese spins due to the magn
