Abstract
The mechanism of the thermal decomposition of hydrazinium diperchlorate (HPโ2) has been investigated in the temperature range 100โ200ยฐC. l he decomposition can be represented by the chemical equations:
The solid state decomposition up to 180ยฐC ensues with an activation energy of 23 kcal/mole whereas above 180ยฐC in the molten state the activation energy is 35 kcal/mole.
