โœฆ Synopsis


This paper reports on the design of a quartz dilatometer used to measure the thermal contraction of structural glass cloth based laminates and of uniaxial glass fibre based laminates along and normal to the glass fibres within the 293-77 K and 293-4 K temperature ranges. The contraction of the structural and insulation materials and of the coil of the superconducting (SC) magnets for the UNK was studied during cool-down from 300 to 4 K.
