## Abstract This paper reports synthesis and characterization of polyurethane–urea (PU‐urea) and the nanocomposites derived from the PU‐urea with silicate clays. Organophilic montmorillonite cotreated by cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) was synthesized and used to prepare PU‐urea/montmorillo

Two polybenzoxazines are cured in an autoclave from the polyfunctional benzoxazine monomers, 8,8Ј-bis(3,4-dihydro-3-phenyl-2H-1,3-benzoxazine) and 6,6Јbis(2,3-dihydro-3-phenyl-4H-1,3-benzoxazinyl) ketone. The density and tensile properties of these polybenzoxazines are measured at room temperature.

Imide-and oxazolidinone-incorporated polyurethanes, based on hydroxyterminated polybutadiene (HTPB), were synthesized and characterized. Reaction of the blocked isocyanate terminals of the HTPB prepolymer with diepoxy compounds, containing preformed imide groups, was the strategy followed. The diepo
