The temperature dependence of the linear expansion coefficients of Cr 18Ni10, Cr 18Ni15 and Cr 18Ni25 alloys has been studied in the temperature range 4.2 to 300 K. Using dilatometric curves the temperature range (195-60 K) of the martensitic transformation on cooling was determined for metastable C
