## Abstract ## BACKGROUND: Humoral‐mediated as well as cell‐mediated immunity is compromised in myeloma patients receiving treatment. Immunocompromised patients are at risk of developing herpes zoster. There is evidence from clinical trials that bortezomib therapy is associated with a significant
