✦ Synopsis

In this paper we describe some recent results on equilibrium wetting and contact angles and on the dynamics of wetting. We discuss analytically a model with Langevin dynami~ and study another model with stochastic dynamics using computer simulatton techniques. Both models exhibit a precursor film and agree extremely well in their characteristic time behaviour.
