✦ Synopsis


We discuss microscopic pairing mechanism and novel electromagnetism of recently discovered noncentrosymmetric superconductors (NCS) which lack inversion symmetry in their crystal structures. In particular, we focus on heavy fermion NCSs, CeRhSi 3 and CeIrSi 3 . We also discuss an experimental scheme to detect parity-mixing of spin-singlet pairs and spin-triplet pairs, which is one of the most distinct features of NCSs. We propose that crossed Andreev reflection can be utilized for an unambiguous probe for paritymixing of Cooper pairs.
