This volume of proceedings is organized in a different way to the previous six volumes of IFORS conference proceedings. In an effort to provide readers with a logical structure, the order of presentation of papers has been ignored and instead related topics appear together. The book contains many case studies of operations research both in developed and in developing countries.
A great number of papers on modelling in a wide range of subject areas are included and papers on new applications, techniques and methods for the use of operations research in practice are also presented.
