β¦ Synopsis
Hiking along the rugged coastlines of fundamental matter has been highly rewarding. Striking halo clusterizations of matter into a normal core and a loosely bound low density veil of neutrons seem to be more a rule than an exception.
Thus we may study matt~er with very low density.
We discuss the development of a, theoretical understanding of dripline matter and present results of recent investigations of what specific features the continuum of a system with a halo ground state may have.
