✦ Synopsis
The infrared spectrum of monoisotopic (\mathrm{F}^{35} \mathrm{ClO}{3}) has been studied in the region of the (\nu{1}) and (v_{4}) bands between 1000 and (1400 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}) with a resolution of ca. (3 \times 10^{-3} \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}). Rotational (J) and (K) structure was observed and analyzed. While the (v_{1}) fundamental at (1063.2436 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}) is unperturbed. the (\nu_{4}) band is affected by anharmonic resonance with (\nu_{2}+\nu_{5}). The avoided crossing of sublevels occuring at (k l=34) is caused by opposite (A \zeta^{2}) values. The deperturbed band centers are (\nu_{4}=) 1317.2542 and (\nu_{2}+\nu_{5}=1305.6148 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}), and the interaction constant was determined, (W_{245}^{-k}) (=2.86649(3) \mathrm{cm}^{-1}). Both (\nu_{4}) and (\nu_{2}+\nu_{5}) reveal (q_{1}^{(+)})and (\Delta k= \pm 3) resonances. A total of 3600 data of (\nu_{4}) and (\nu_{2}+\nu_{5}) were fitted with (\sigma=4 \times 10^{-4} \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}). cc 1993 Academic Press, Inc
