The (e/[~ +) ratio in the decay of ~aV and the fluorescent yield in Ti.
The ratio of electron capture to positon emission in the decay of 4sV has recently been measured in this laboratory z) by fl --? coincidence measurements in a long lens fl-spectrometer. This paper reports additional measurements in a proportional counter in order to check the obtained results.
A proportional counter filled with krypton was used in a slow coincidence arrangement with a NaI scintillation spectrometer. The pulses from the scintillation counter were delayed in order to take into account the delay in the proportional counter. The resolving time of the coincidence circuit was 2.4 x 10 -6 sec. The ratio of true to accidental coincidences was in all measurements at least 20.
