✦ Synopsis

Purified digly¢idyl ether of Bisphetlol A, erosslinked with polyamines in different ratios, has been used to investigate the effect of chemical structure and ¢rosslink density on the modulus (G) and on the glass transition temperature (Tg). Bulky groups in the resin increase To more than they increase G either in the glassy or in the rubbery state. The rubber elasticity theory seems to be applicable even to these highly crosslinked systems.
