โœฆ Synopsis


This paper will attempt to give the data on the weights of the nervous system of the adult cat made in a manner similar to that in the study of the growth of the nervous system of the fetal cat. The material is the same as that described in an earlier paper (Latimer, '36), and consisted of 104 adult cats. This was as near a random selection as could be collected since only immature and unhealthy cats were rejected. The method of dissecting the parts is the same as described in the paper on the growth of the fetal nervous system (Latimer, '38). The only difference is that these cats were dissected and wciglicd iu the fresh condition while all of the fetal and newborn specimens were first preserved in formalin.
