The &man spectra of tMns-dichloroethylene, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene and tetrabromoethylene
were measured with several excitation ws.velen,tis ranging from 6328 to 337.1 nm. A marked increase of the relative intensity of the C-C stretching mode was observed for all the halogenoethylenes, and discussed with relation to the lower lying excited electronic state.

## Abstract The laser excitation wavelength is an important parameter in obtaining definitive Raman spectra from pharmaceutical drug substances. This paper investigates the effect of changing wavelength on the Raman spectra of four different drug substances: paracetamol, paroxetine and ranitidine (
