Abstract
Abrikosov's solution of the linearized GinzburgโLandau theory describes a periodic lattice of vortex lines in typeโII superconductors at large inductions. This solution is generalized to nonโperiodic vortex arrangements, e.g., to lattices with a vacancy surrounded by relaxing vortex lattice and to periodically distorted lattices that appear in the nonlocal theory of elasticity of the vortex lattice. Generalizations to lower magnetic inductions and to threeโdimensional arrangements of curved vortex lines are also given. It is shown how the periodic vortex lattice can be computed for bulk superconductors as well as for thick and thin films in a perpendicular field for all GinzburgโLandau parameters ฮบ and all inductions ${\bar {B}}$.
