Our last man on Earth has wandered the streets of many cities, ending up in that urban metropolis of Cleveland Ohio His eyes red-rimmed from crying he cannot believe when he sees a figure in the distance. Amazingly, a woman! The last woman on Earth in this unlikely place!Passing the ruins of shattered automobiles and ending up in front of the May Company, he sees her and cannot stop himself from announcing that he is the last man and she the last woman and they must mate to start the human race all over again, but this time without the war, hate, bigotry, nothing but goodness. Amazingly that line works and she is sold adding the back-handed complimentary οΏ½I love you because you are all that is left to loveοΏ½. Introducing themselves, he asks her name. She replies οΏ½Eve, whatοΏ½s yours?οΏ½ to which he answers, οΏ½BernieοΏ½.
