Abstract

Potatoes grown on reclaimed fenland in 1946 showed certain significant varietal differences, and an attempt has been made to classify potato varieties according to their vitamin‐C contents. Average values obtained in November‐December, 1946, and May, 1947, agreed closely with those previously found for the corresponding times in 1943‐44.

Varying the manurial treatment for Majestic potatoes did not have any noticeable effect on their vitamin‐C concentration.
