โฆ Synopsis
In the thousands of years of human history, we have been visited. In the millions of years before Man was established, we were visited then, but have no clear history of those times. Only now, with our growing understanding of our small place in the Universe can we truly say that a Visitor will be appreciated for what they are, by some of the population. Most of the population will find it impossible to adjust, to realise that an exceptional event has happened.
What would we do if the Visitor is so old that it is dying? It is looking for a successor - (it has been looking for a successor on every planet in the galaxy, but failing, for the last 100,000 years. This has been entirely due to the ignorance of the populations). How do you tell someone that your planet is not flat, or that your planet is not the centre of the universe, when they no concept of what the sky even is? Or that there is no such concept as this 'God' character, and all religions have been created by Man, solely due to fear and ignorance?
This is my description of what might happen, should we have a visit today.
