β¦ Synopsis
Absorption spectra of a monomolecular layer of a surface-active dye at the water-urban tetrachloride interface have been measured by the method of multi-reflection, with pdarized and unpolarized right. This is the fast visible spectral measurement for a monolayer at a Iiquid-liquid interface. The absorption spectrum is more simikr to the crystal spectrum than the sohition spect_rum. Considerable dicbroic behavior was observed with respect to the polarization of the light, from which the orientation of the dye is discussed.
